About
Me.

Carol D’Silva was introduced to the fashion world at a very young age by mum, Nelinda Da Silva. Her mother introduced Carol to the art of embroidery, crochet, bobbin lace and more when she was barely 6 years of age.

Carol and Nelinda have been invited to countries in Europe to showcase their art of Bobbin Lace on an international forum since 2004 alongside other participants.

“The experience in Europe was simply amazing, the people you meet, the intricate lace and fashion, the history of every town. I fell in love and knew I wanted to pursue a life in fashion. Being a part of fashion shows from a young age, witnessing creations on display was special.” says Carol.

In 2010, Carol decided to enroll in a Bachelor of Engineering (majoring in Mechatronics). Fashion was and always be her passion, so after she completed the bachelors, she signed up to a Diploma in Fashion Design in Queensland, Australia in 2017. She knew her style and loved to design but she lacked the basics, which led her to do this course.

Carol has been designing since a young age and released her own creations in 2016 at a Fashion Show in Peniche, Portugal. Followed by a fashion show in Camarinas, Spain and Bobowa, Poland subsequently. She has released a few capsule collections that are available to view in the look book. Her biggest accomplishment till date was her handmade bobbin lace wedding dress that took her and 15 countries about a year and a half to complete.

“I create unique, sustainable and intricate clothes to make people feel empowered and beautiful. These designs are special and are one of a kind. I work with you to put together these masterpieces. I am currently only creating five (5) wedding dresses a year.” ~ Carol
